Darwin Asylum Seeker Support and Advocacy Network (DASSAN)
DASSAN was set up in 2010 in response to growing concerns about asylum seekers in detention in Darwin.
We welcome all those who support asylum seekers to join us.
To learn more, come along to our next meeting, join our Facebook community, email us or sign up for our email list.
We believe in building an Australia where all people seeking asylum are treated with compassion, dignity, and justice.
We work to:
- Support the wellbeing and human rights of people seeking asylum and their ability to make their own informed decisions
- Change Australia’s immigration policies, practices and laws
- Change Australians’ perception of, and attitude towards, people seeking asylum
