Who we are

Darwin Asylum Seeker Support and Advocacy Network (DASSAN)

Aboriginal_real Australians say welcome
We are a community-based network of volunteers who support and advocate for asylum seekers, raise awareness about their plight, and work for change in Australia’s asylum and refugee policy.

DASSAN was set up in 2010 in response to growing concerns about asylum seekers in detention in Darwin.

We welcome all those who support asylum seekers to join us.
